During the war there appeared: Ufa Cotton Integrated Factory, clothing factories in Birsk, Ufa, Sterlitamak, tannery enterprise in Ufa and Davlekanovo, shoes factories in Sterlitamak and Davlekanovo. They joined effort with older enterprises and started to supply the front with uniforms and shoes, camouflaging garments, gun slings and belts. Sterlitamak Tannery Plant was reconstructed.
Supported by Moscow Tannery Integrated Plant Ufa Haberdashery Leather factory was enlarged with a harness and saddle shop manufacturing cavalry outfit.
Since the war began and up to the middle of 1944 Bashkortostan clothing and shoe factories managed to produce over 1 million overcoats, 828 thousand trousers, 776 thousand gimnasterkas, 1056 thousand side caps, 71 thousand short sheepskin coats, 528 thousand pairs of shoes, about 3 million haversacks; textile factories manufactured 2641 thousand meters of military cloth.
Industrial cooperation allowed to issue over 20 types of military goods totally worth 200 million roubles. Many troop units and formations were equipped with military engineer articles, sanitary-medical goods, every-day products, outfit property, chemical protection means as well as with ammunition.
