6. Energy Industry.Electric Machinery Enterprises

Such production scale required much power, intensive industrial construction and properly arranged transport. This resulted in the need to enhance energy industry capacity.

The government took urgent measures to provide leading industries with human resources. Energy industry got reinforcement as well.

44 youth komsomol crews were created at Ufa power stations. A crafts vocation school No. 9 was established at Ufa Power Engineering Integrated Plant and entered by 700 students.

Oil plants and other enterprises of Ishimbay and Sterlitamak towns were supplied by Ishimbay CHP station.

Stations in Beloretsk and Tuimazy were also producing power supported by dozens of small hydro-power facilities.

The capacity of power stations was 2 times larger and amount of power was 2,5 times bigger in comparison to what it had been before 1941-1945.

Electrical engineering industry was making great strides in development having united seven evacuated plants. They usually manufactured military goods such as electric equipment for tanks and aircrafts, appliances for warships, electroacoustic devices, rechargeable batteries, etc. Being evacuated from Leningrad Krasnaya Zarya Plant was manufacturing 20 types of military field communication units. The range of products included military field inductor and phonic telephones, two-band phoning units, field portable telephones.

Cable plants union included: Eliktroprivod and Metallorukav plants from Moscow, Vinnillprovod plant from Podolsk and Elektroshnur plant from Odessa They were joined into Ufa Cable Plant issuing goods for People’s Commissariat for Arms, aviation and electric industries as well as ammunition.

Electric goods made a great impact on the development of tank and aviation industries as well as on the components of front communication devices.
