A huge construction was initiated in Beloretsk because of the machine-tool plant evacuated there from Klin town, Moscow region. Within 1942-1943 the plant established a machine shop, a tool room, a cast shop, a heat-treating shop and a high voltage transmission line. The construction cost 2 million roubles.

Beloretsk Steel Wire Plant provided sustainable production of aircraft cable, springs, ball-bearing wire and over 60 sorts of steel wire for military plants.
