On the 22nd of September the State Committee for Defence adopted an Order “On measures for global forcing of oil extraction”.

Bashkir oil refiners acquired new grades of high-octane petroleum, automobile oil and gasoline. By the battle of Stalingrad Ufa Oil Refining Plant had become one of the best enterprises of the People’s Commissariat for Oil Industry.

Over the war period it was awarded with the Transferable Red Banner of the State Committee for Defence. In July 1946 the Transferable Red Banner of the State Committee for Defence was placed at Ufa Oil Refining Plant forever.
