Timber and Woodworking Industry was not left along developing either. The Republic enhanced timber logging for construction purposes. Most of products were transported to other regions to fulfil the needs of military industry. A range of forestries and forest farms had a sustainable production of carriages, sleighs and skis for front needs.

There was a list of enterprises that made a significant contribution: a timber and plywood integrated factory in Chernikovka, plywood factory No. 17, timber plant No. 3 in Ufa producing superior plywood used in aircraft engineering. The leading role in plywood production was taken by Chernikovka Plywood Integrated Factory. Its capacity grew by 4 times within 1940-1945.
